Slow and steady vs jumping right in. Which is the best way to run this Green Race? Businesses today are seeing enough good examples of savings with eco-practises, that they are now looking for guidance on how to get started, or where to go next. Each business is different. Each business is at a different point in their sustainability, or greening efforts. And each of them has followed a different to path to get to where they are now. So where do we go from here?
Do we start it slow and steady, creating a culture as we progress? Or do we target strategic high-level initiatives with demonstrated cost savings? This is a close race; and we are all just mapping the route, but from my perspective I believe that either way is fine. Better yet, do both. Develop strategic initiatives and integrate the reasoning behind them into training, education, and outreach.
