As a member of EC3 I am helping to assist in the Visioning Process for the City of Carlsbad for the next 20 – 30 years.  We are a City Council appointed group of citizens that are working with city staff and professional consultants to query residents and businesses within the City of Carlsbad, CA about the future of our community.  We are working to develop a vision for the future that considers all ages, classes, and concerns.  Eventually, our efforts will influence the new General Plan for the City.

We are a progressive, coastal California city in Southern California. And we understand that the Economy, the Ecology, and the Economics are at the forefront of our decision making process.  This is my preferred domain… the “Triple Bottom Line”.

It feels so good to be a part of local government.  And especially one that is visionary. Whether or not you endorse our California Governor, Arnold Swarzenegger, I believe he put it so eloquently when he said that, “When the people become involved in their government, government becomes more accountable, and our society is stronger, more compassionate, and better prepared for the challenges of the future.”
